Christmas Trip (Parts I & II)

So Maintenance Connection, which is the company I do documentation and design for, has a really incredible tradition of taking everyone on staff, and their spouses, on an amazing Christmas trip each year. We usually just fly in, stay somewhere beautiful, have an incredible dinner, ridiculous white elephant gift game, do something fun, then they say "stay as long as you'd like and enjoy yourselves!" They really are an awesome company to be a part of.

Anyways, this year - the trip was to Colorado Springs. The scenery there was just mindblowing! Sadly, I didn't bring my camera with me to our full company dinner, so I don't have photos from the main events, just from the last 2 days when some of us went for some sight-seeing and food. Anyways, this post will be a doozy, so here goes... (click on any to enlarge)

First Day:

Second Day:

It was really amazing to see the two sides of the area. Beautiful, sunny, green, vibrant on one day...and gorgeous, soft snow on the second day. This was actually my first time to see "real" snow. We really had a blast getting away for a few days...

Enjoy!

Company Summer Trip

So this past weekend, the company I do part-time contract work for, Maintenance Connection - took us on our annual summer trip. This year, the destination was Vail, Colorado. We stayed at a gorgeous resort and did everything from riding ATVs at 65mph up and down some of the highest peaks and white water rafting level 3 and 4 rapids on the Arkansas River. It was a great time to get to hang out with everyone from the company. I can't wait for the next trip. Here's a few snapshots I caught of the scenery while I was there.

The Sanchez Family

So Anahi had talked to us about surprising her husband, Chris with some family pictures for their anniversary. They got all dressed up on Saturday, and headed to the location only for the first hard rain of the summer to get here 15 minutes before them.

We decided to reschedule for the next day. It was beautiful outside and everything looked great....until about 15 minutes before the shoot :) The clouds started rolling in, the thunder started booming, and the sprinkles started landing. We decided to roll with the punches this time. It was extremely overcast in the "clear" skies, and extremely dark in the "troubled" skies....we pressed on though.

Thanks to Chris, Anahi, and their adorable son Ethan for being so intent on getting these pictures no matter what. I hope they enjoy the shots we got. It was a good time and they were a beautiful family to shoot.

Enjoy!
